The reason is quite straightforward: to achieve the highest possible audio quality! If you're aiming for an exceptional experience at MLR Studio, kindly ask you to review the information provided below

Mixing

Make sure your song, lyrics and arrangements are ready before send to mix.

Send all files with the maximum quality possible 24 bits required, no distortion or effects on it, only leave effects for especial purposes.

(The files levels shouldn't reach 0dbFS)
Always specify the bpm and key song (for autotune and melodyne) of every song.

Please always include the "demo" version of the song, so I can make an idea of the whole vibe you are looking for the song.

Mastering

Send all the stems named like: Vocals (One Track), Drums (1 track), Lead melody (1 track), Fx (1 track).

Please keep healthy and dynamic levels, peaks at -3dBFS maximum.

Tracks are not going to be creatively edited, so make sure you are happy with the sound even before applying.
